Sydney Barbato

My name is Sydney Barbato and I am a wardrobe supervisor. I have a Bachelors in Fine Arts Degree in Theatrical Production and Design with a concentration in Costume Design, but I specialize in wardrobe work. I have worked on cruise ships for many years as well as regional theatre, tours and summer stocks.

 

My skills lie in my attention to detail and my care for my cast and performers. I am a service based person and love to make sure my performers and crew are well taken care of. I am great at quick changes and creating tracking paperwork. I excel at directing a team of local dressers as well as maintaining the overall design of the show. I have many skills in repair and alterations of costumes that allow me to work well in fittings and as a part of a costume shop team. 

 

Not only can I sew, I’m also comfortable with shoe repair and costume crafts  from my time on cruise ships. I also have experience with wig prepping and styling as well as theatrical makeup from my time learning under a Broadway wigs designer.
